Cependant, en ce qui concerne la silice cristalline, la fraction de poussi\u00e8re respirable est la plus importante compte tenu de ses effets potentiels sur la sant\u00e9 des personnes. La taille des particules peut varier consid\u00e9rablement en fonction du mat\u00e9riau avec lequel vous travaillez. Les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res prenant la forme de poudres fines sont susceptibles de contenir des particules respirables compte tenu de leur taille. D\u2019autres mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res peuvent \u00eatre assez grossi\u00e8res au d\u00e9but du processus. L\u2019eau contribuant \u00e0 supprimer la poussi\u00e8re, les mat\u00e9riaux ayant une teneur en humidit\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e auront tendance \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer moins de poussi\u00e8re lorsqu\u2019ils sont manipul\u00e9s et utilis\u00e9s.
