Chapter 5 – Exercises
Click to take a look at both of the following common work activities.
Wet cutting processes
Wet cutting processes
This wet cutting process involves using a connected water system, either integrated into the power tool or as a separate unit, to manage dust creation during the process. This is in parallel to other protection measures, such as PPE and proper ventilation.
Dry cutting and grinding processes
Dry cutting and grinding processes
This high-energy, dry process involves using a handheld tool (e.g. angle grinder, cutter, or electric wall chaser) to cut or grind a material containing crystalline silica. This is in parallel to appropriate PPE and ventilation measures in the worksite.
