About us

NEPSI (The European Network for Silica) is an organization formed by a group of European sectoral trade associations and labor unions to reduce occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica (RCS).

The organization focuses on implementing the social dialogue agreement signed in 2006 that emphasizes promoting worker health and safety through implementing good practices for handling and using materials containing crystalline silica. Workers in industries such as construction, mining, and glass production, are at risk of exposure to RCS, which can lead to serious health issues such as silicosis.
