The RCS particles are so fine that, if we inhale them, they can penetrate deep into the lung.

The ‘Respirable fraction’ is under 10 microns in size and reaches deep in the lung.

The thoracic area is where particles of 10-30 microns settle.

The largest inhalable particles (30-100 microns in size) settle in the larynx area.
